I’ve been wanting to try a hot dog from Man Bites Dog for a while now. There are a couple of locations. I chose the one at the Trailer Park and Eatery on South First. I was torn between the Cuban and Bird Dog (pictured above). I went with the Bird Dog. It’s a chicken sausage link with sweet corn relish and pesto mayo. It was good, but not great. The sausage had a strong spice I couldn’t place and the relish wasn’t much more than just corn – no seasoning and not much flavor. The bun was toasted and warm (which I like) and the service was quick and friendly. While I wasn’t blown away by my first experience, I’m not giving up on them just yet. I want to try the Cuban first. Look for another post about that dog soon.
