The rate of HIV infection in the U.S. is on the rise. High-ranking government officials and other policy makers need to be informed of the condition and presented with prevention alternatives. National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) approached The Screamer Company with a Blueprint for doing so.
Solution
The Screamer Company took a more creative approach than is typically seen in collateral addressing dire social issues. We produced an eye-catching yet authoritative document with bold graphic artwork which incorporated the iconic red ribbon, clearly and simplistically illustrating the effect the epidemic has on the health of all Americans – not only those affected with the virus.
Results
While too early to evaluate a change in health trends, the Blueprint has received such a positive response from its audience that NASTAD subsequently printed two more editions of the English document, as well as a Spanish adaptation.
